Default Synthetic Oil or Regular Oil?

What are you guys using in your C3's? Synthetic or Regular Oil?

I'm using Mobil 1 Synthetic in both of my C3's with K&N Oil Filters!!

i asked about synthetic oil over in the tech performance thread. it was a pretty mixed response. some said that because the seals in the motor are 20+ years old the synthetic will tear them to shreads in a matter of moments. otheres said it will soften them up and bring them back to life.

i sure as hell am not takeing the risk of shreading them.

what i will be doing htis year is going with the highly recomended Rotella T diesel oil. they all said that this stuff is closer to the oil that was used back when this car was built, compared to what regular dino oil is now after the EPA has taken so much out of it to make it more eco friendly.

may switch to synthetic once the motor is broken in...... or I may just start running Rotella T.

I don't know about shreading the seals I'm using the 10/40 that been used in it when it was new 27 years ago. I may switch to synthetic if I replace it w/a new motor or not. runs pretty good on the old stuff.

Mobil 1... always used it in everything I've driven... always will.

By the way, it's had regular oil in it and the switch to Mobil 1 didn't give me any leaks or anything...
