Default Pads hugging the rotors after a brake job.

I just finished a complete brake job on my 69. The car is still on jack stands. I am waiting for the rain to stop to take it for a test drive.

I have a question for the brake experts tho.
After bleeding the brakes, I feel that the pads are hugging the rotors a little too much even without depressing the brakes. It's sort of hard to turn the rotors with my hands and I can hear the pads rubbing against them.

Is this normal after a new brake job?
Any ideas to fix this if this is something to be concerned about?

Normal. The pads should always be touching the rotor. Drag will be noticable with new pads and will lessen some once you've broken them in.

Are the pins that hold the calipers on clean enough to allow the calipers to center over the rotors. If not, one side or the other may rub until you hit the brakes hard enough to center the caliper. I'd drive it before I disassembled anything. After your drive, make sure the rotor is not overheating. It will get hot, too hot to touch after a few stops (normal), but you'll be able to tell the difference if a piston is hanging and holding a pad too tight against the rotor. It will "steam" if it's rubbing.
I suspect everything is ok if you can still roll the wheels by hand before driving.

FYI, C3's don't have floating calipers.
