folks, that's be nice, ok? these engine are collected over years and
it is not for sale to you guys, just to the original owner. If you don't know by now, anyone with the vin# can back track to past owner and
get in contact with them and get some info on these cars. the l71 and the ls5 engine are to the point where I have reach a dead end, and
thought that internet can help. don't be a smart donkey, and these engine don't smell. the l88 owner, I already have a tag on him and is trying to contact him, and I believe this l88 engine is the real thing and where it is found is really non of your concern.

With only 216 L-88's installed in Corvettes from 1967-1969, Don't get bent out of shape when your fellow forum members are skeptical (myself included). The L-88 is a rarety and with all of the trolling in various sections, We're all curious and more willing to accept facts, not bs. So please don't take it personal when members question you. I don't believe that anyone's trying to be mean, but in my almost ten years on the forum, I've never seen anyone post up three somewhat rare engines at once. How about some pics? You know the old saying... A pic is worth a thousand words.

I don't see any reason to suggest something "smells'... I am just curious and puzzled. I can see responses such as: "No thanks, my car (with that vin) already has its original engine"

Another point of view is that these types of posts can be perceived as a seller looking to sell, albeit to a specific owner..maybe even not to a specific owner, money talks, look at asking prices that non 'matching' L88's go for. perhaps these posts should be in the for sale section, with a specific price attached.

sounds like the OP has been fishing for quite a while looking to sell these motors.

interesting commentary, but we have seen these types of posts from both sellers and buyers with only a very rare case where car and engine are reunited. First you have to find the owner, then you have to agree on a price, then you have to ship it, then it might be cracked, or sleeved, or .60 over, or decked, or some parts with the wrong date, or not rebuildable..etc..... An L88 not in its original car has a real good chance that it was scattered sometime in the past, but putting these engines out on a public forum does invite commentary..

also, how to post pic is probably the most common question here.
look in the help section of this forum, there are several stickys on how to do it. and its free and it is a learned skill set that will follow you thruout your internet surfing life.

good luck, it would be pretty cool if you were able to reunite the cars to these engines, given that the engines are authentic..

joewill you seem to be a man with a lot of thing to say, why don't you do the honor of up load the picture of the pad for me. you folks make me feel that I am some sort of dishonest individual. I guess I have open a can of worm, when I thought this is a goood way to try when the traditional ways of finding the car owner had failed me. So, how about it, lets put the engine block to the test, I am willing to heard from all your expert why you think this l88 block is a fake.
