dash speaker grill

Check to make sure the side tabs are not cracked or broken. The grill is a tension fit so if the tabs are worn down or gone it will not stay in place. If the tabs are there then you can use something like a thin piece of weather strip, push a little in to each side to fill in the space where the tabs insert, thus creating tension. If this does not solve your problem let us know.

Are the slots in the dash, where the speaker tabs go, still there? Maybe the dash foam has collapsed, closing up the slot, or is broken or cracked.
You could try a small strip of double sided foam tape, on each of the speaker grills tabs, and see if that holds them.

Years ago on my 79, I put a few wraps of black electrical tape around both the tabs and re-installed. They never popped out again. Not the best fix but it worked..
