I want to change the color of my carpet panels on my doors from red to black would the dye sold by Ecklers do that?

FWIW: Purchase replacement carpet trim in the color you want. I've heard the interior dyes not work too well on carpet; it doesn't get down into the loop.

I agree with easy mike. Did my blue carpet many years ago to black with dye and it didn't look very good. Have heard some using rit dye for clothing but that would require taking the carpet out. Would be much better to replace the carpet. The vinyl interior parts however will come out nice. I recently renewed some with duplicolor flat black interior dye from Orielly auto parts. I also had a can from Corvette America that I tried. Both do a great job the duplicolor is less expensive.

The dye will work fine on the door carpet. I wouldn't use it on carpets or floor mats as it will rub off over time....but the doors will be fine,,,,

What I mean is any where you put your feet or in the back when you store your tops.......over time it will wear off .Also the carpet becomes stiff after dying.......So like said above new carpet is the best but if money is an issue dye works fine.
