Default Rack & Pinion + Coil over rear suspension - How does it ride??

Completed the work to install Rack and pinion and coil over in the rear however having just completed the frame off it has never been on the road yet. The question is, has anyone else done this and I would like your comments on how much better the ride is?

If it rides as good as it looks...........................

I would think that with adjustable shocks-----you could make it ride like a Humvee......or like a Caddy!

I started with the Medium springs and the ride was rough/stuff. Even with the shocks on full soft/rebound.

Switched to 350 pound springs. Have compression at 1 click and rebound at 5.

Much better now. I could play with more setting but if you go too far it gets really bouncy down the freeway.

At this point it's a perfect match to the 550 front springs and the BBC.

A spring is a spring is a spring. The only thing that matters on our cars is the (wheel) rate and any interleaf friction if it's a multiple-leaf spring. If you're going from a steel leaf spring to a coil spring or fiberglass spring the ride should improve noticeably.

Dude. Excuze me while I grab a napkin to wipe the drool from my chin. Most excellent indeed! I have the Steeroids kit sitting in a box waiting for good weather to install it. I plan on the same coil over rear suspension your packing, but that's about 16 bills down the road. Man I LOVE your ride!
