SWEET!!! looking radiator! Good score there! Good work on the frame too. Are you planning to replace the mounts 2 & 3? Give some more pics as it comes together!

The new strut rods I got from Duntov didn't seem to work with the camber bolts they sold me. The rod bore was .625 and the bolt was .500. I then bought these rod end caps but still didn't seem right, too much slop so I machined some plastic bushings to fill the gap.

Uhhhh, NO!

That bushing will not last long under spirited driving.

A steel sleeve would be a much better option.

Your car, your business. Enjoy.

I made it using Acetal plastic which is designed for high load mechanical applications.

Well back to my half shafts.
The ones I started with were a little more banged up than I would like so I bought a pair from a forum member that were a little nicer so I'm redoing those.

I have a question, what shape are these pieces supposed to be? They go on the end of the rear frame just behind the tail panel but the car was rear ended and these got bent so I cant reshape them until I know what shape.

Steve, those pix are just what I need.
Did you just happen to have those or did you just take them?

Jr73,

Glad to help.
Good Luck on the endeavor. You're doing Great! Keep those pictures coming.
Fun ain't it?!

Just doing a little restoration myself on this '73 Coupe.

And may I also add this:
I don't know what re-chrome services cost in Wisconsin, but I paid $275 a piece for the rear Bumpers to be done here in San Diego. I am however glad the work was done and considered it money well spent.

Have a good Memorial Day Weekend my friend.
Steve

The guy I bought my car from had the bumpers re-chromed just before he gave up on the car and sold it to me. I don't know what he paid but they look nice. Enjoy your week end

Wow! I just read through this whole thing! Looks awesome! I feel good when I take 1 bolt out every 6 months, you're really going to town on this!
