Distributor cap question
I have a stock, OEM distributor in my car and for the sake of argument, it's working fine, no problems. However, i'm looking to dress up the looks of the ignition wires.
Does anyone make a distributor CAP . . . (that will fit the OEM distributor) where the 2-4-6-8 wires exit the cap on the right side and the 1-3-5-7 wires exit the cap on the left side?
BTW the car is a stock 73, L-48............
Thanks for any help.

Yes they are made.
But...from what I've read about them..not worth it. A lot of troubles and headaches from people who have installed them.

That would be a "corrected" distributor cap for a Chevy engine. If you buy one, buy from a quality source. Lots of junk out there; failure mode is spark-jumping between conductors inside the cap.

Bought one a few years ago for the stock style distributor and at the time it was a discontinued item. It was either an Accel or MSD.
Charlie above is correct about the cross firing. Bought an Accel corrected cap for the HEI and had a miss. Off it came and back on went the Blue Streak cap and rotor.

I put one on my 78 350 over a year ago. Haven't had any problems. I can't remember where I got it but it may have been Jegs. Someone also carried a set of plug wires for a corrected cap (maybe auto zone). My 72 year old memory "ain't what it used to be".

I started to do that but the forum members talked me out of it. I ended up with a factory replacement cap and made a set of wires that were much neater than any I could buy.
