Hi John,
The 68 looks terrific!
I'm hoping that's you with the plaque looking VERY pleased.
Thanks for the pictures. Stories with before/after pictures are always interesting!
Regards,
Alan

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. It does have blemishes that don't show in the pictures, but I love them because she earned every one of them, It is also a reminder that once upon a time these were real cars that people actually drove them every day. The reason the Student Parking Permit from 1976 is still on the bumper. So many people love the originality and the patina. Just fits her.
Mrjlr: I don't drive it as much as I want to. I have not serviced the real wheel bearing yet, so until I do so I will need to keep my miles down. That is this winters major project.
Vette 442 I agree, and so do many. It just looks right, but I'm very prejudice.
Alan 71. Yep that is me. It's a good thing my wife married me 31 years ago, I've lost all my good looks since then. ;-)
Again thank you guys.

Great job on bringing her back, and congrats on getting a trophy - seems almost impossible for a stock appearing Vette to get a second glance at a lot of shows.
And kudos on involving the youngsters in the hobby.

I''ve got to say, finally got to see this thread and I agree with everyone else, great looking car, photos, story and the owner is one check of a nice guy too. Letting those innocent tykes, sit in the car. Good job on trying to hook them early!
