Yes, a 1955. Very popular year. Here is one from a show yesterday.

Hi,
My first car was a 55 convertible in June of 1961.
I paid $525 for it and drove it my senior year in high school.
Dated my wife in it. Drove it a few times in the snow with the top down…. not sure why. Maybe it was just because we were 17 and we could.
At the time it never occurred to me that I'd never forget either of them.
The car went the next year for a 57 hardtop.
She and I both went off to college in 1962.
Somehow we found each other in 1971. Dated her in the 71 that summer.
Kept them both the second time around.
I care very much about the 71, but care much more about her.
It seems like cars and women are intertwined in many guys lives.
Regards,
Alan

Beyond that, it is the higher level Bel Air hardtop. The more common model is the 210, which has a full frame around the window glass and a B-pillar. It must have been something really special back in those days in Denmark. Interesting in the photo seeing the normal road cars for that time contrasted with the '55.

great story Alan....dated my wife in high school in my 79 firebird, 10 years later, after college, we reconnected and married. Now I'm building her a 79 corvette that hopefully someday I'll finish.
