Newish member with 1972 project.
Just came home with a complete 1972 base auto car. Motor and trans runs and shifts very well. Numbers matching and still have original radio! Only thing I see missing is the shielding around the distributer. My favorite color as well...war bonnet yellow.

Congrats on the new project! It's a runner, so you can do it, bit by bit, yet still enjoy it. Take about a hundred photos of everything. Engine compartment, under the headlights, interior, etc. It will help you a lot later on.
I'd recommend getting a clip board too and make two lists, leaving a few pages in between, for what has to be done and what parts you'll need. Bag and tag everything too. Many of the interior fasteners, like the door pull screws are specific to just that part.

Thanks folks. I will take more pics soon. All the fiberglass looks to be original as the bonding straps are present at all 4 corners. Frame looks nice as well. Already has a brand new gas tank in place. This is a factory A/C car and all the parts are still there but the compressor is frozen. I feel very fortunate it find a chrome bumper car that has not been red necked and hacked to pieces.
Already have an assembly manual ordered and on its way. I remember using it more than any other source manual when I had corvettes years ago. I have been away these last 13 years working on Porsche 928s. I still do but there is room for a corvette too.

I also have a '72 project car, I've had it over a year, and haven't touched it yet (busy on house projects).
