While I have always been a bb person one of the vettes that never left my mind because of all the mystic it had for me was the LT-1.
For me these are almost like Bigfoot or Nessie......
There is an LT-1, and a BB out in the garage. I had to have both!

Very interesting! I do love the silvers!

I had one as well, red, but was originally white. 4:11 gears also. Heads were milled a lot and had aftermarket pistons and cam. It ran 12.60 thru the mufflers on Radial T/As. I had figured due to the GM strike in 70, that your Vette is one of the rarest out there. I should have kept mine. Have any photos?
The 70 LT-1 convertible is without a doubt one of the most sought after vettes of all time!

Gotta love these LT1's!
Gotta love them! What's the correct lettering for the first gen? ZR1 or ZR-1?

Thanks for posting

Here is the '71 convertible I used to own (don't chew me out for posting). Had it for 13 years. It was stock and pretty original- just the smog stuff and the T.I. distributor were missing. Sold it in 2006.

I have 71 confirmed through GM Canada. Missing it's original block but has an LT-1 engine under the hood (somewhere there's Z28 missing it's engine). Originally white with a tan interior now orange with a black interior. Lots of work done and a lot more to go. M21, tilt/telescopic, PS, PB.

Very nice! What is that color, Marlboro Maroon?
Was that offered in '72?

The original color was elkhart green, but a previous owner painted it that brown/copper to match the interior I'm guessing..

Thanks! The wheels are actually Vintage Wheel Works V48's. They look very similar to the minilites.

are you saying you have a ZR1????
If I know how to read, yes he is. Why do I only see a F41 package in '69?
(special performance suspension).

I have a March built 70 LT-1 conv. Donyybrook with saddle, I also have an April built 1971 LT-1 conv. Warbonnet with saddle. Both have the original engines, current the 71's engine is removed for overhaul.

Hi,
Here's a link to a ZR-1 video Ralph asked me to post.
The quick shot of the tach and the sound are keepers!
