Pcv vapour hose routing 1971 350
Getting new emission hoses for my 71 the AIM shows the Carbon cannister hose coming vertically from the pcv valve T. Is this correct I know there are a few errors on emission systems in the AIM.
I'm not being picky but I might as well cut them to the correct length.
Regards

Hi gj,
The pcv valve typically has a sort piece of rubber hose (1") coming off the valve to a tee that the large hose from the vapor canister slips on to and then another piece of hose of the same size leads to the carb.
There are 2 clamps on the short piece of hose but not on the large hose connections.
The smaller hose runs continuously from the canister to the carb.
You're right; the tee is turned incorrectly in the AIM drawing.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Bill,
I always liked the open air cleaner and closed distributor shield on sb cars.
So when I first finished the car in 2006 I had it that way…. it had a Holley dp, and side exhaust too.
Then in 2011 when I decided to have it Flight Judged for it's 40th birthday year I changed things over.
The picture I posted is sorta midway… it showed the pcv set up so I used it.
It's nice to know someone who notices the details!

Alan
