68' Round head original key "D" or 68' Hex head original key"C" ??
Going to be re-keying my early 68. I see two types of key blanks available. A hex head key "C" and a round head key 'D". Other then the head of the key what is the corect key blank?? Thanks, Tom.

Hi td,
I believe for the 68 model year the ignition and door lock key had an octagon shaped head and a 'C' keyway.
The storage compartment and spare tire carrier locks used a round headed key and had a 'D' keyway.
Cars with the optional alarm had a third key with a round head.
Regards,
Alan
