Default 1969 slack in seat track

I have a little slack in the driver's side seat track. The seat will move about an 3/16 of an inch back and forth, not a big deal, but annoying when accelerating and you can feel the seat move back. The seat is bolted down good, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I think it may be the peg that fits into the seat adjustment slots has worn.

Has anyone run into this, and fixed it? Thanks

Could it be that the seat bottom is bumping up against the trans tunnel and not moving forward enough to lock in position? When sitting in the seat (release lever NOT pulled), try to use body weight to move you and seat forward to get full lock on the track.

If that doesn't work, you likely have some mechanical problem with a seat track. Remove the (4) hold-down bolts on the seat to remove it and get a GOOD look at what is going on.
