Well.....I sold my Corvette after 14 years
I got $20,000 for it.....sold after 6 days on Craigslist.....
Bitter sweet, but I seldom ever drove it.....
I have a Barracuda I'll be fixing up now.....
Is it ok if I still hang out here?!!!!! I may get another someday???!!!!!
A lot of you have turned into friends!
I'm a little sad.....but a new chapter awaits.....

20k is a very strong price and 6 days is a very quick sale. That means that this is an extremely nice car. I'm sure you will miss it. Congrats on the sale!

I'm sure that was a perfect turn key car. I like it,.
Lot of corvette hunters who have never owned one don't realize the money it takes to make a car look good and be drive able .....or simular to their modern cars .
That was a pretty good buy for someone , not willing to spend a couple year or more with one torn down or in a body shop , someone who had no work shop or tools to restore cars or time. Smart buy .
Very well done. You understand the money and tine it takes to make another one as good ......it's hard to let a good car go ...that rubs well.
I find it hard to become bonded with a car that you never drive or drove .....bought and parked...you obviously had a lot of good years messing with it.
Your car is type MOST new owners should search out ......something they can enjoy.

I remember reading where Ronnie Sox said the A-body notchback was one of the lightest cars. Won't take much to make it quick. Tom Hoover had a nice 340-six barrel powered one for awhile.

Mine is a '70 E-body. I had it stored at my mom's for 26 years, drug it out last fall with the intent to drive it on this year's Power Tour. Came close but just ran out of time. So Plan B will be the vette this year on the Tour.

When I was 16-17 I buy a 72 bb ac convertible, it had been warmed up and used as a Corvette,
I loved that car...( But I didn't name it brad ),
several things went out together back then I didn't have the skills or money to fix it made a mistake and traded in for a pos camaro pace car, not the good one the 80's one.
I owned a lot of cars after that many vettes and not one was that 72, in '09 I made that right and bought my 69 convertible, the car is becoming what I want it to be, never will I sell it, it's all about what a person wants.
About ten years ago I helped a fellow sell a kit car he built when he was 16, he had the car over 30 years, long than his house, wife, kids job etc.
He wanted top dollar he knew more than going rate and it took a long time to sell, his reason was he needed/wanted the money, I do not believe he ever got past selling that car.
Anyway if selling your vette was what you wanted to do then "high five" and cheers to you...
