Console tunnel carpet question
I have an '81 auto and I can't figure something out.
The carpets on the sides of the console have become very faded (they were black) and the backing boards are warped and broken. I'd like to replace the boards and carpet. I can find the backing boards with no difficulty on any of the supporting vendor's web sites, but I can't find the carpets.
I see carpet sets for the whole interior, which include the console carpets, but that's way more than I need. The rest of my carpet is in pretty decent shape, so I only need the console carpets. I'm sure I'm not unique in wanting to replace only one or two pieces of carpet but I'm stumped.
What's the trick here?

If you can get the boards you might try "Automotiveinteriors.com in Massachusetts , seeing as your carpet is black it can be matched more easily. they will send you samples if you wish. I am going to replace my wheel well carpet with their carpet this winter, the match is so close I can hardly tell the difference .

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input.
I'm astounded that no one parts out the individual carpet pieces from the sets. Oh well, I guess it's on to plan B.
