Default Met my first friend today! :3

It's been nothing but wind and rain since my baby got shipped to Virginia, and I finally found the chance to take it out for the local Tops in Blue concert. I'm still a bit afraid to park it out of my sight, so I figured this local Vette' owner was thinking smart by parking next to the tour bus.

Any other convertible owners out there keep the tops down when out of sight? I have everything locked up in the glove box.

The top-up doesn't slow down a determined car thief.......that's why I installed a quality remote-warning car alarm with it's own battery in case a thief decides to cut the ground cable off the frame to disable the alarm in order to tow the car. I also have a hidden kill switch somewhere in case they try to drive it away. Of course that won't stop someone from loading it onto a car trailer................B]if they can get the wheels to roll [/B]

Nice ride and great color combo

Yes I worry to when I park for awhile and come out or back to the car and there is someone looking at it and or touching it, but I ALWAYS roll up the windows when the top is down and I'm away. Yes can someone who is determined take the car or the belongings sure but a least they cannot just reach in and get to the glove box or door locks.

I have a tonneau top to cover the interior. I take the insurance card and garage door opener with me. Maybe I've been lucky, but I always see people looking respectfully when I park and rarely have I seen someone touch it...except for a few little kids, whose parents quickly have them stop. If I'm nearby, I'll get up and let the kids sit in it if they seem particularly intrigued. I do choose the places I take it with care.

Welcome to the 1 year wonder Club!
We are the running changes production year.
What part variation went on my car in May may not have been out in January.
I like your color combo.
I noticed no galvanizing of the rivets on the nose.
Was it addressed and repainted?
Mine has the rivet acne.
Mile of smiles ahaed enjoy!!!!
Marshal.

I am proud to take my tops off and leave the car. I think it makes a statement about freedom. I especially like it when I do this and another Corvette parks next to me. If he has his top on, then by default I am the more cool guy with the more cool car.

If the thief can figure out the door handle, get the engine running with out flooding the carb, and then knowing how to drive a manual, I say at that point they can have it!

I don't see the tour bus but that is one beautiful car! No, when the top is down I do not stray far from my car.

I leave the top down..never considered it a secure vehicle with top up or down.
Welcome to the forum, nice car.

I'm not sure actually! I can see the little bumps if I'm looking closely, but otherwise they don't really stick out. And Thank you!

I don't worry too much about someone stealing my car with the top down as I do about some jealous jackass cutting my seats or just doing some kind of vandalism I live in Southern Ca. BTW. would love to move back to Ga. where things make sense but haven't talked the wife into it yet.
Love the color combo. Beautiful, one of my choices when I was looking.

Ahhh, Hampton Coliseum. I grew up 5 miles north of there (Tabb) and went to college 15 miles south of there (ODU). Worked 20 miles south of there (Chesapeake) for 6 years before finally blowing the whole taco stand and moving to Northern Virginia.

My family still lives right there.

I've probably passed that building 25,000 times in my life. So far. I'm 'only' 40.

Pretty car, by the way.

And no, there isn't much of anything you can do about folks who want to do bad things to your car. I was coaching a Little League game with my son and one of my friends saw a herd of perhaps 10 kids notice my car, admire my car, then feel comfortable climbing all over my car...laying on the hood and deck and such. Lucky it didn't do anything to my cherished L88 hood. Guess they didn't get the memo to not touch other people's stuff.

Sweet lookin ride. love the white and red. I never have my top up. I have the car insured and i try to avoid situations where the car may be in harms way.
