Default another question

does anybody have a picture or a view of the placement on the courtesy light on the drivers side kick panel on a 81 vette.. I bought a hanger like the passenger side but i can not figure how it is attached , it was not on my original panel .. thanks again everybody

The drivers side is SIMPLE...the square cut out to hold the light housing is made into the dash. It is to the left of the steering column. Peak your head under the dash on the left side and you will see it.

The right side is also simple. The bracket you have should have a very short 90 degree bend at the end of the bracket....which is bending in the OPPOSITE direction of the 90 degree bend that holds the light housing with the square cut out in it. This will go on top EDGE of the kick plate and be your stop so it can not go further down on the panel. I see them about 2 inches from the front edge of the kick plate where it meets the dash.

if you want an EXACT placement....I will have to get back with you tomorrow.

thank you for your help , i got the passenger side no problem,,i will look tomorrow for the drivers side... if i got a problem i will let you know

Wow - this was like a missing piece of the puzzle for quite some time now. Thank you much for taking the time to do this. (Dub, you too). As trivial as it seems, now it feels complete.
