Default What did you install in the interior back in the day?

My car had an extra hole in each quarter trim panel. My jack compartment door had 2 holes drilled in it. The 70 LT-1 my dad pulled out of a field had holes drilled in the parking brake console.

What were people putting in their cars back in the day that made them get out their drills so often?

Went to look under the rear of the car one day while it was up on the jack stands and saw someone had drilled holes on the underside of each rear chrome bumper that mirrored each other in placement. Was most likely for one of those trailer hitch mounts.

Bought my '72 old show car in '95, the interior was basically stock when I bought it.....so out went the console controls, and in went modern updates....all switches and stuff controlling from HVAC to Cruze control
the ashtray went out and replaced with a LED display of the firing order and batch fire EFI order 2 rows of RED 4 per row.....Flashing sequence 18435672 or said the more logical way 7218 (4 corners) then 5672 (four middles) then two blue LEDs......one per batch....
then green LED's for operational.....fuel pump and computer....
the left control is too complicated to explain.....suffice to say it rivals the space shuttle......

Now we're getting somewhere. Is that on a storage door?

I've seen bumpers like that at the shows. Never dawned on me until I saw an actual picture of one installed. How long did you have the car before you noticed?

Had the car for a few weeks. First thing I did was install the factory side exhaust (not born with but year correct). Would never have noticed if I hadn't have put the factory style sides on.
