Should've just thrown their money in a wheelbarrow and set it on fire.

this poor thing just got lost, the big open mouth to the odd angle chop top and flat sides, well, the rear looks good....
IF I had the cash and wanted a sweet c2 I would go the grand sport replica on a donor frame route, they still look like a corvette yet a race car.

Agreed Bats. I've flared my 72, replaced the egg crates with glassed in fins, converted to a 4 speed, cut springs and I'm just getting started. I truly believe in custom to one's tastes. But that thing is a hot mess.

Poor builds like that are just sad for me, I try hard to find something I like in every custom I see, some could be saved with something as simple as paint or perhaps wheels and tires others need some bodywork but this poor car...damn, maybe a good talented body man could rework the nose and it would do wonders for the whole thing...

Unfortunately I think to fix the proportions the front wheels need to be moved forward about a foot! If that were done, and the nose cleaned up, then it might look ok. The rear looks alright. It'll still look a bit odd with that windscreen and interior, but it's the front proportions and that humongous grill that really hurt it I think.

Was up on eBay at one point, said the least he would take was 14k or 15k and it sold I believe. It does look like a cool car but this is what turned me off, was in Texas couldn't look at it before buying and the l98 motor. If I was going to spend over 10 grand on any kind of replica it better have something with a little go and not be all looks. Obv the new seller is lying it's no lt1 with 335 hp, I'm curious what he got it for . The other guy had it up on eBay for a month straight before someone bought it

I could see someone had a few and impulse bought it for 14 and then came too the next morn, that in the drive way and a hoochie tattoo on their back....

Customs are cool but resale will be terrible on wild designs....Finding two people that like the same extreme design and is willing to pay what it cost to modify it is all but impossible.

I feel really badly when I think a car looks bad, I try hard to like it,
The more I look at it the more I believe the big mouth is the killer for me like when they do weird things like re work a duck tail, spoiler, scoop flare etc thinking it's all cutting edge artsy cool and just ruin for me the original classic looks a spirit of the car,
Like your car Finwolf, I love it because while rather radical it looks like it could have almost been factory, things are reworked but in a flowing not hacked off at odd angles unpleasing distorted sort of way....
In this threads cars case why couldn't the nose have been far closer to a real c2?
In the trend of the c1 and c2 re bodies onto later models why couldn't someone do it but keep the spirit of the original why always distort them so grossly?

Wow whats up with all the thanks icons
C4s drive like hell with the top out, cowl shake something really bad
I try and like em all too but someone drank that one plain and simple
For $25k at least spend 100 or 2 on carpet or clean it

the back look great. the flatness of the doors the over hang of the nose is not right. the top of the hood is like 90 degrees to the side to square looking to me. but to each is own. I think you and me and a hand full of people like mine LOL but that is fine with me you have a great eye for customs. we see things alike. cant wait till yours is done.

I just want it running driving at this point, we moved from Orlando to Eustis within a mile of the big monthly Eustis car show, so I can even limp to that, there were several c3's and a vette club but mostly later models in it,
