trying to sell the Cobra...most of my time is now consumed building the "wooden" classics!

1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Original 403 auto, never been wrecked, almost zero rust, been in the family since 82. Mods include Edelbrock intake, super coil, performance cam, forged pistons, Holley 750 carb, hookers, chambered exhaust, aftermarket fog lights behind the grills, upgraded 5 leaf springs, air shocks, and custom painted rims. Has tan interior now too.

Our collection of classics is growing. They now include guitars and airplanes. Love it. What is your other classic ?

I have a few other older cars and only got my vette last weekend. I'll just put the pic of my favorite up, it's rough but I have fixed it up to the point where I can drive it almost anywhere. 1972 Ford Ranchero 500. That lopsided seat has been replaced with buckets since I took the photo.

That's pretty cool. Are you going to leave it as is? I would. It will only get cooler as time passes.

Thanks!
Basically I plan to leave the exterior mostly as is other than the wheel package, I've changed the mirrors to something racier. I know it's done to death but I like the idea of a worn exterior with a slightly modernized interior and modified chassis and drivetrain. Sort of a beater pro tour look, and I get some perverse pleasure parking it near the beemers etc at work.

It's a fun toy....it went from Jasper/Penske..to Penske to McGlynn racing..to some guys yard and then to me!. It was used as the 77 Kodak car for Brendan Gaughan at JP then as a back up car for Newman and Wallace when at Penske and then driven by Derrick Cope at McGlynn. I liked the paint scheme Rusty ran at Bristol the year he retired so that's the way I painted it. Has an ex- Ganassi (Ernie Elliot built) full Cup motor in it now.

How funny. That was the Iwannaroc car. They finished second. Did you see the other side of the car? We were all speculating on what was hanging out the passenger side window. I thought it was a demon, someone else thought it was a dead baby.

Darn: I missed that. I was in San Jose rush hour traffic so it was all I could do to snap that quick picture.

We are thinking of going to Sonoma in December for LeMons, so keep an eye out for our NachoFriend car.

No need to wonder. You're free to stop by the house whenever I finally get motivated to change the clutch. ;-)

Tom.
