Can someone tell me what the black cover with the small hole thats facing the oil plug thats attached to the I'm assuming the torque converter. It's a little scruffy looking and i want to change it out. Thanks

I have read this 4 times. Are you talking about the flex plate cover?

Sounds like the inspection cover.

I guess thats what it is. Its black also

That is the inspection cover. It protects the rotating flywheel and [either] torque converter or clutch from road debris, dirt, water, etc. The hole in the bottom is a drain outlet should there be some leakage from the components in that area. Leakage is more common with an auto transmission than with a manual trans. Normally, it should NOT have any leakage coming from that hole; although the cover is not well sealed and it could release any water that made its way inside.
