Brakes are pressurizing
I replaced the calipers, pads, master cylinder and soft lines on my 71 with manual brakes. After I pump the brake pedal a couple of times the pedal gets hard to push and the brakes pads are grabbing the rotor so much so that the car will not roll. If I crack one of the speed bleeders I can hear air escaping and the pads release thier grip on the rotor. I have bleed them about 20 times and they still pressurize. I'm using dot3 fluid. Any ideas?

Brake pedal pushrod too long or your brake light switch is adjusted wrong. The problem is that the pedal is not coming up all the way. In the "at rest" position there are passages opening the brake circuits to the reservoir. If the pedal does not come up all the way the brakes will lock after pumping the pedal.

I had the same problem when I replaced the Master. Turned out to be the wrong type of
Master. I compared the new master to the old master and they were not exactly alike.
Went to NAPA and bought another master
for a 79 Vette. Replaced it and now it
works as it should. I think you got the wrong
master. HTH
