Default Reinstall windage tray or remove??

I just replaced the rear main seal on the L82 and I had to remove the windage tray and oil pump in the process. Since I am going to go with a new cam, I'm concerned about how much splash my new cam will get at break-in with the windage tray on? If I leave it off will this hurt me down the road? I have a new 1 piece oil pan gasket and do not plan on going back in to add the tray after the cam is broke in.

Leave it on! Will not effect cam oiling but will cost you 8-12HP at high RPM.

Install the tray. Windage tray is good for hp at elevated rpm. It won't affect cam oiling at break-in.
