Default Alt Wires

I just installed a ZZ4 in my 72 Vert. I have a new style ALT with a 4 wire plug. Can anyone help with the "how to" on the hook up? What wires should be connected to my stock wiring harness? Thanks in advance.

Durangoboy has a pretty good document on it. Just don't put the jumper from the Bat term to the F or L terminal.

Here this may help. I have had to alter it, as it's original design was dual purpose and didn't apply to C3s specifically. It's set up correctly now.

Yea, just leave the jumper off, it bypasses the voltage sense function of that red wire in the harness, not a good idea.

Yeah I keep meaning to fix that. I just kept forgetting. With it jumped it just charges all the time and never gets a break.

Delco makes a jumper to put a CS alternator where a SI alternator was. You just plug it in. Different pigtail depending on if you have a lamp or a gauge.
