Default Trailing Arm Rebuild Kit

I am in the process of rebuilding both trailing arms on my 76. Actually the complete back end. I am looking to find a good kit to rebuild the trailing arms with. I need to replace the parking brake hardware, trailing arm bushings and shims, bearings, seals and dust cap and what ever I am overlooking. That is the reason I need a kit so I don't forget something. Where have you saw a good kit and what advice do you have? I also need a new spindle on the right side. Looks like my acting like a kid and spinning the tires stressed this one a little . That is the reason I went into the trailing arms in the first place.

Be sure you get USA made bearings. They are getting difficult to find. Auto Zone carries Timekin, which are usually good.

Could you pass along any info you received about rebuilding your trailing arms? I would greatly appreciate it as I am getting ready to rebuild my 68.
Thanks much!

I highly recommend you read the linked thread(s) in the previous posts. If after reading this you still feel like doing the job yourself, I'd be glad to try to help with sourcing parts. I shopped around a lot as I accumulated the parts & tools I needed. Feel free to PM me.

Not the best, or the most thorough of the posts on this topic, but here is the start of my rear suspension rebuilding experience:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...uild-pics.html

I got back to work this weekend after some serious diversions (basement waterproofing, general honey-do's and a wicked cold snap) so I've got more pictures to post. Good luck to you, and please post your progress on the Forum. The tips, comments, and encouragement from the Forum members are a great asset and an inspiration to keep after it.

Cheers,

Chris
