Yup... that's how I been doin' 'em for over 35 years.

Car/Diff has to be level though.

I mix the additive in with the first quart/liter of gear oil. That way, you don't have to mess around with trying to squeeze that little bottle of stuff into the hole or any other device.

Actually, put the posi additive in first, then fill with rear lube

I also need to add more fluid in mine ( 1980 ) , but their is the suggestion of the posi additive ? - is this something that is seperate from the rear end oil itself ?

The Posi additive is thinner and helps reduce noisy clutchpacks. It's like an 8 ounch squeezie bottle.

I will have to add the Posi additive - was unaware that this should be added to the posi oil when topping up the rear end
