Default Help on installing rear pace car spolier

I just got the front and rear pace car spoilers delivered for my 79 vette, and have no idea how to install the rear one. It came with some instructions but they are pretty sketchy  Does anyone have any info on installing them or know any sites that will tell me how to do it

The measurement on mine is 45 1/4" back from the front edge of the quarter panel (by the door) to the front edge of the spoiler.
First I drew a centerline down from the center of the gas cap door.
Then I made a mark for the centerline on the spoiler.
Measure the distance from the centerline of the spoiler to each stud and make a mark on the car at those measurements.
Measure how far back each stud is from the front edge of the spoiler and add that distance to the 45 1/4" and make that mark on the car to meet with your previous marks and that is where you drill the two outer holes.
Finally measure from the back edge of the car (where the bumper meets up) to your first to holes and mark your car to meet up with your previous marks for the two center holes. If I remember right the studs are 1/4"? I think I used a 1/2" drill bit as the spoiler came with large washers so some adjustment could be made to line it up.

The hardest part is taking the drill and getting your arm to quit shaking as you are about to drill into your perfectly good Corvette. Just keep telling yourself "Don't be afraid NOW" :yesnod:

If you have any questions about it just e-mail me.

Sounds a little better.. but i still have a few questions.... there are 6 studs on the underside of the spoiler each about a foot apart, now do i drill holes for all these 6 studs into the car? and what are the two outer holes??? and what holdes the spolier down??!?!?!? also i didn't receive any washers with mine, what all do i need to install it?

What you need to do is make up a template of the hole positions, off the spoiler, with a piece of cardboard,or stiff paper, then lay this across the back of your car & mark the holes onto your car.Yes you need to drill holes for all 6 studs as well as the bolt holes on either side of the car.Look for a picture of a pace car,to get an idea of the position in relation to the back bumper.
Hope this helps,Neil.
