Default Distributor cap with TI ignition

If I understand correctly, Corvette's fitted with the transistorized ignition (TI) eliminate the mechanical points system within the distributor. If true, my question is this:

Did TI equipped engines use a distributor cap WITHOUT the traditional access window (used to access/adjust the dwell angle with the points) located on the side of the cap?

To the best of my knowledge they use the same distributor cap. If that's incorrect, I hope someone can make the correction.
