Looking for Turbocharged C3 corvettes
I have yet to see any good photos of a turbocharged c3 corvette. Does anyone have any, or know of any c3's that have been turboed?
There is one video on youtube of a twin turbo c3, but it doesnt show too much detail. I cant even find the video right now.

I am not sure how far you want to go, but I did a big single turbo 540 bbc in my vette. its a full race car but the piping can be done similarly on a street set up. you just need to remove everything forward of the radiator. my combo is built for over 2000 hp on e-85.
I did try blowthru carb, but it was just too much of a headache so I am in the middle of converting over to a EFI set up.

I have NEVER seen that conversion before.... I will say that V6 is an excellent fit in there though.... looks like it came that way.... Not a bad option for someone wanting to run 10s and get 15-18mpgs...
Neat car!

I built my big block twin turbo vette about six years ago. I took the vacuum tank out on the driver side and the stock heater/ac out on the pass side and stuck the turbos in the fenders. The way its set up leaves the front of the motor open for all the accessories. Check out my photobucket album for pics and vids.

All very nice. Tumarr, now that I see the photos I have seen your car before, I didnt see the finished product I just saw the chassis setup with the turbo. Very nice, way more than I will be doing, but non the less excelent work.
I am planning on running my single turbo on the passenger side where the A/C heat unit was, I have since removed it. Its always nice to see how others have accomplished the task, and run the piping.
I will be running a Holset HX55, just recently finished an LS1 swap with the T-56 trans.

We were fighting the damn carb/intake for three straight weeks. it would run great at around 10lbs of boost and get it to 8.40's with a 1.31 60 ft. but once we pushed boost up past that, it would lay over. We found poor fuel distribution issues, and power valves not opening right. after melting three pistons, I called the season over and will be going over to PRO EFI over the winter. The blow thru set up has the carb, ignition box, boost controler, data logger all in separate independant components. and they dont talk to eachother. with the PROEFI it is all one computer so it works or it does not. I am getting some very experianced people behind the car so I dont have go through nightmares like that again. Have you heard of Paul Major? his car is running the same EFI computer so we are going to be swapping notes. lol.

You and me both...but I did get one awesome painting tip I plan to do when I paint mine, and that is to paint the inside of the hood the same pattern as the outside, even the same colors, that looks cool! I can't afford any of the rest....

Tumar,
who's carb were you running? Did it have a boost referenced power valve or crutch, or were you just running the heaviest spring possible. (everyone knows that boost pressure in the bowl in actually higher than boost pressure under the carb hence the power valve issues most newbies encounter).
