Brace yourself.......Harley Davidson mufflers for now......
the exhaust is original from the manifolds to the Harley mufflers...the look is old school until the project is nearly completed (?side-pipes or Oem-location aftermarket mufflers?)

Dam, just Dam, talk about exhaust bling, no i am not going to post my exhaust its stock aluminized steel and been on for 15 years now, its a driver.
My crossover is at the back of the trans pan
All of this stuff looks like a diesel exhaust, are we talking 2 1/2 or 3" here.
What kind of temps are you guys getting with a heat gun at the headers/mufflers?

I need a new exhaust system. I thought about a rear exit system. Mine is lowered, so I decided that I'm going to stick with sidepipes to avoid clearance issues.

side pipes are shown to have a lot less HP...
the only place it really hits is just under the spring/rear-end. so im thinking a 1/2" slit rail mounted on each side of the 2 pips...

With sidepipes I'll probably get STS inserts, try no caps or drilled caps, or 3" inner baffle from ClassicChambered. 1 7/8" primary to 4" and remove the inserts is another option if I need more power. I'll have some fun playing around with it. I'm not sure how much less hp the difference will be than a rear exit. Good idea you have on the skids to protect the pipes where you are scraping.

I have abut 2.5'' ground clearance in the rear, That's why I'm going side exhaust

Paul, I'm a big fan of hooking up a pressure gauge to my exhaust systems to get an idea of the actual capability/restriction of the system. Sounds like you've got a healthy engine for this year's track days. Seems prudent to check if your exhaust system is a match for your engine.
