Default What is red & white wire plug on Alt. for??

I just put on my accessory drive pakage from billet and the alternator is a 1 wire alternator meaning there is no plug for the red and white wire plug on the original. Will this alt. work? What are the red and white wires for? Any advise would greatly be appreciated.

with a one wire alternator you wont need them, but dont cut them you may change your mind. your one wire alt. is self exciting, which means the exciter wire in that plug is no longer needed. If your new alternator has a rubber plug where those would have been, you may be able to run it as a three wire without issue.
