Default Anyone have the half-shaft bores get wobbled out?

I had to buy new half-shafts from ZIP because I noticed that the universal joint bores on one rear wheel had enlarged and the "U' joint caps were moving in the bore on both the half-shaft end and the spindle flange, on the one side. I know that in 1988 when I put a new frame on the car, I had to use a torch to heat up the flange to allow removal of the old "U" joint caps. I had greaseable "U' joints and they were all perfect except for that outer one, and it only had very slight movement to it, really not bad. Lou.

You do know that an industrial driveline shop can put new ends on the shafts? Most fair sized cities have a shop that rebuilds and balances shafts. Just asking.

I've not run across one that had the caps loose in the bore. When you figure out the root cause, please share. It may be something many of us should be looking for.
