From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
Nothing like smashing your Vette into the end of garage or a Mercedes 500 in a parking lot, do it right and connect the safety switch up especially since you are going from auto to manual, switch goes on the clutch pedal
When you remove the switch.. you'll have two wires in and two wires out. The two wires on the main harness connector will need to be looped together. All the neutral safety switch does is break the current path from one side to the other on that circuit.
AT and MT used the same harness, they were both equipped for either transmission.

The assembly instruction manual has the diagrams you want. It will show you how the automatic switch was installed and where you will unplug it.
It also shows the standard shift switch you will need, the original part number for it and how to install it.

I used a simple harness from Corvette Central when I converted from the TH350 to a T5 5-speed. Works. $31.00. Part #663240. Connects your now empty neutral safety switch plug (that used to connect to your shifter assembly) to your new clutch-actuated neutral safety switch you did (or should) install when you added the clutch pedal.
Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a PDF file showing the assembly manual drawing and narrative on how I made the hook-ups.

Although I did it "wrong", and used the TKO neutral indicator wire as a lead to a relay for the NSS.
Works great, car only starts in neutral. You can't run ignition current through the TKO neutral switch though, that'll blow it up. So I'm using a 30A bosch relay.
I've actually caught myself a couple times too. Pros of a neutral safety are that it's easier to start the car from outside, as long as you're in the neutral gate it'll fire up. Cons are that if you do stall it, you have to remember to switch to neutral to restart it. Generally speaking, I always shift to neutral anyhow ...
Of course, w/ a Muncie or T10 all of what I'm saying isn't an option... but maybe someone will see this for a T5/TKO swap and get ideas.
Did an auto to manual swap last year.Installed the neutral safety switch on the pedal assembly and wired it before installing the assembly to the firewall. Then wired the new switch to where the existing safety switch was in the console.Used the wiring diagram to locate the correct leads. No wiring harness was needed.Don't know if you can install the switch with the pedal assembly in place. It's gonna be a biatch!! That switch is in a really bad spot..For safety sake ,it was worth the effort to install it and make sure it works correctly.I myself have jumped in the Vette forgot it was in gear and tried to turn the key!!Luckily nothing happened, until I press in the clutch.Always park the Vette in gear with the parking brake on....
