Default Bent A Header Tube

was really pissed because I was driving my car and a rock or something put a dent in my #8 primary tube. Its not a big dent - caved it in about 1/4 inch. Is there anyway I can take it to a shop and they can fix it? These are Hooker Super Comps and they are very expensive to replace because of the 1 3/4 " primary . Is there really a big difference between 1 3/4" and 1 5/8" which are alot cheaper. My motor is 475hp 383

I had an '84 and did a similar thing to an OEM exhaust piece. I took it to a friend of mine who was a welder and he heated the part up and proceeded to work on it with a hammer. The result? You couldn't tell it had ever been damaged.

How big is the dent? Not likely to affect anything other than annoy the hell out of you,its the first, but won't be the last.
