I really like the look of these wheels. It's making me rethink the direction I'll be taking.

These are a perfect fit 18x8 wheel that matches all the specs of my original YJ8 1978 alum 15x8 wheel.

Default Tire recommendations

Looking to put some tires on these C6 wheels for my C3. What tire combos can I get on there with out modifying the car other than spacers? 18x8.5 fronts and 20x10 rears

Hey all, I was amazed and gratified that this thread has exceeded 115K views.

I hope it has been a help as a means to collect info on what works (with stock suspension and no mods) and what we have had to do (suspension, drivetrain and body mods) to upgrade wheels and tires on our C3's.

I hope to (some day) step up to a nice set of American Racing Torque Thrust II's in 17 or 18 diameter with that anthracite finish. Man, that will REALLY set my C3 off in style. Hope I can get them with some American-made rubber as I am really partial to Good Year (or variants from Cooper Tire).

Rock on!

Love the paint (and tires/wheels). What color and codes is that paint?

Also, please provide make and part numbers for those wheels? Any spacers or other mods required? What about those tires? What size and make?

I thought for sure I would see another early C3 with this combination used on our 69 coupe. I always liked the early BFG Corvettes that raced at Daytona in the 24 hour. Wheels are Minilite 16x8 5x4.75 75 part number 330-283-3668 with Good Year Eagle F1 GS D3 245/50Z-16 tires. Not sticky enough to be real competitive in auto crossing, but real fun. Car has been used in photo shoots, shows, autocross and weekend drives. Guldstrand suspension, poly bushings, and Koni shocks and lowered to F41 specs.

Sorry it took so long but my cheap imported digital calipers died and it was a while before I replaced them with a not-so-cheap set of imported digital calipers.

I'm getting 5.225" and 5.220" BS.

Paint is "Sikkens #359 red"

Wheels are LT-III 18x8 with 4" BS
http://www.etmags.com/lt_iii.html

These are a perfect match to the YJ8 Aluminum Stock wheel so no mods required.

Tires are michelin super sport 245 R45 18

BFG Radil T/A 225/70R15 Rear & P215/65R15 Front
Rims I'm a bit of a purist...
Suspension is all stock style replacements other than Polyurethane bushings & Bilstien Shocks.
