Default blower motor wiring

this should be simple enough...

i just replaced the blower motor in my car, ive had it out for a couple months now.

ive completely forgotten how where the last wire goes to.

Orange - plugs into the blower
double black - grounds to the removable screw on tang
resistor wire with male and female end - i have no idea where that plugs into.

according to my manual, that resistor wire doesnt even exist.

The noise suppressor...goes to the motor...and the Orange wire connects to it so your radio does not get noisy when it is working.

Would be great if we knew if it was A/C or NON-A/C.

Thanks...it is always something.

AHHHHH...but if my memory is correct,,,,,when I restored a 1970...there was an orange wire...that was not used...because the A/C wiring harness came through the firewall and went to the blower motor.

Sometimes I get these changes twisted up...because the high speed blower power is an orange wire that goes to the horn relay.

I see that I need to get copies of all my wiring diagrams here at the house. Trying to remember them off the top of my head is getting a bit......uhhhh.....confusing form time to time.

Feel free to use the ones I have on the repair and installation help site too.. that's why I put them up.

http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/

It's a bit hard to search right now but we split all this info off from the regular site and are now re-sorting it. It'll take us a while but as we progress, finding what you want will become very easy.

I use you site for a quick 'refresher' when I have a doubt when I am on the forum answering an electrical question.

I agree..when I am looking for something..it is a bit difficult at times...so if I can not find it in a minute or two..I stop and wait to look when I get back to work.

So your site a has been helpful..and I am slowly building my data base in my home computer so I can look and find it in a file quickly. BUT...oddly enough.,..there never seems to be enough time to do all of those things I NEED to do. Some days when I get home...with this heat and humidity....I feel like I have been 'keel-hauled'....not writing that I have been keel-hauled an KNOW what that feels like...so I am only assuming how that would feel.
