Default Help please! Fuse box layout does not match book

I have a 79 Vette that I am rebuilding. The fuse box does not match any diagrams I pull up for the 79 Vette. I am trying to find the correct fuse for the door locks. Name: image.jpeg

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone has a fuse box layout for this type of fuse box, this would really help.

That's definitely a '79 fuse box but some of those fuses are of the wrong value.

To answer your direct question, the power locks are in the CTSY/CLK circuit. That circuit is where you have a "7.5" fuse and it should be a 20A.

The fuse directly to the left of it should also be a 20A.

The far left 20A fuse should be a 10A--switch with the one below it.

That unknown value fuse (perhaps 25A) to the right of the two 20As is for the radio and should only be 10A. Believe me when I say that the wiring in that circuit is NOT suitable for anything above 10-15A!!!

One more thing:

That 10A fuse at the right side in the third (used) row up is supposed to be a 30A circuit breaker for the rear defog--the very same as the greyish metal thing you see in the top row of your pic.

I was thinking just that. Thanks for confirming. My issue is I have no power to the locks. The fuse isn't blown, but the previous owner had a security system installed and yanked it out before I got it. The electrical has been a challenge to get working. I have replaced almost all of the interior including a new dash. Nothing was working. Thanks for the help. I will change out the fuses to original and see if I can trace the flow to make sure it is original as stated in the books.

Bill, i found that one on line somewhere last year, Saved it to my computer and e-mailed it to my phone. All the markings are gone off my fuse panel, so I keep this on me, just in case.
