I still take my Car to a Show every once and a wile. Despite onlookers questions such as " Does it take the whole weekend to bolt that kit on ? " " Do those Speakers make good base ? " " Why build a custom car with out a 3 ft high Wing ?"

Beautiful weather, cool cars, tall tales, pretty girls (ugly guys).. that's why people go to car shows! I would expect nothing different.

I agree with everyone who laughs off this sort of BS'ing and boasting. Let them have their fantasies, they're not really harming anyone. The BS'ing and boasting I have a problem with can be viewed on Youtube by searching: stolen valor. I know this isn't a car guy topic but a lot of us on this forum are vets so it does have some validity. I'm retired Army with 25 years service and feel my blood boil when I see these videos.

Search "stolen valor" on Youtube. Stolen valor pertains to those who wear the military uniform having never served. There are many posing as Navy SEALS, Army Rangers, etc. I believe the law prohibiting this practice was recently overturned by the US Supreme Court. That's a travesty. They are all lost souls who probably have never contributed to society in any way. Some are even worthy of our pity because of mental deficiencies but most are just worthless jack legs who boast about their "heroic" deeds. I'm sure there are the same types in the UK. It's a much more disgusting bunch than the ones who brag about their 600hp, three deuce small block, chrome alternator hot rods as in the original post.

When your fast or you have a killer index set up-you don't have to say a word.

I guess what rubs me wrong, is I know all the time and effort and money I have spent to get her where she is, and then to hear this poo,,,,
Its make me feel a little robbed... but usually I do just smile and say cool... it was the 650hp thing... in what was probably a 300hp engine,,, over 2X's was just to much
