Give Chris Straub at straub technologies a call and see what he has to offer,
he can custom grind a cam to your needs, just tell him what you want out of your car.

Marty: What heads are you running? -The stock heads from 76? -If so, L48 or L82? Do you have the flow #'s handy?
What's your CR?
Are you sure your 76 has 308 rear gears?
Are you open to buying a higher stall TC or are you looking to stick with the stock TC? (We'll definitely need to know L48 or L82 to figure out your stock stall.)
I've been staring at only hydraulic roller cams for so long these huge advertised numbers compared to the low @0.050" lift #'s are so odd to me.

If it were me choice #2 or similar no bigger will work fine with that gear and stock converter
Choice 1 practically a stock cam not worth the effort.
It will pick up torque dont expect it to be "that much" you will notice it though
Keep the Qjet its fine for what youre doing. Ck curve on distributor tune will bring out what it has to offer
Spent the money on headers rather than the carb if you want more

keep in mind the more radical cam, the less vacuum you have,
to operate all the corvette vacuum accessories. Ac/Heat, Lights, Wipers, Brakes.
good luck on your selection.
