Muncie Side Cover Removal
The Muncie M20 on my car is leaking a fair amount of gear oil from the shifter shaft seals. The shifter shafts actually move a good bit in the bushings, so I'm afraid just new seals wont cut it.
Can the side cover be removed with the transmission in the car? Is there room to clear?
Can new bushings be pressed into the cover, or is a replacement cover the best route to take?
1973 L82 Muncie M20.

The seals are cheap and easy to replace.

So are there brass bushings in the side cover that need to be replaced in addition to the seals? With the shaft movement I have...trying to understand the parts I need to buy in advance of removal.
