Aftermarket L88 Hood
Looking for a good aftermarket L88 hood for our 69.
Can anyone here recommend any good vendors, or warn off any bad vendors?
So far, I found the following manufacturers:
Vanacor - http://vanacorvette.com/
ACI - http://www.acivette.com/
MidAmerica has one listed, but it says it is made by ACI, the company I listed above.
Eckler's and Corvette America both had one listed, but they say "Long Style, eliminates wiper door". I don't want to eliminate the wiper door.
If you know of any other good companies, please let me know. :)

Mine is a short style. made by ecklers. I got it through Gruhala which gave me ~10% off compared to ordering it directly from Ecklers. I also got the functional L88 cold air induction (not included with the hood).
I found the ecklers hood to be of excellent quality. Just had to do some minor 'glass work in the front corners as the gap was a little large there. No two C3's are the same though so I can't fault ecklers for that. The hood is well finished and sturdy.

Thanks zwede.
I'm really surprised more folks here don't have experience with buying aftermarket/replacement body parts from any of these fiberglass retailers.

got mine from JCWhitney (YES!!!!!!!! ;) )
The hood was drop shipped from Legendry Fiberglass and as far as I know it's the same one as sold by ZIP only a LOT cheaper. Now..there are bound to be people that start yelling these are jink hoods but it's not. The fitment was near perfect, the quality is nice, the finish is good. Ready for paint right out of the box. The inside was already painted black so that's nice too and the support structure inside seems to have quality threaded inserts, they stand up to a lot more than the ones in my stock 82 hood (which easily cross thread when you try to start a bolt and stuff is not aligned properly because of the weight on it)

mine is the long one from ecklers, mine too came with the back side painted black. i shot a coat of primer sealer on it and wet sanded it down, but it probably was ready to paint right out of the box. Fit is excellent. Finish is excellent, couldn't be happier.

Same here. I bought the 'short' 68-72 hood for my 68. I was very satisfied by the service Gruhala provided. It was very 1 on 1, and I felt very well treated, as a customer. The Eckler's hood is great too. I bought the airbox, also. It fit perfectly as well.
