I have a 69 coupe factory 427 car, has a big block 402 in it as of now(center console confirms aswell as the bin can confirm that it's a 427 car). Complete frame off restoration. The car is white with red vinyl interior. Factory side pipes installed, cranks right up at the turn of the key

That does not make any sense. Adding something to an investment grade car will detract from the value, especially if it involves modifying metal or fiberglass. I searched for several years and travelled across the country to buy my original drive train, documented side exhaust 427. Does your wife have any idea how loud these cars are? I mean, if she is picky about the color.............

PS - These cars are still not really a good investment. They may return most of your money, but certainly nothing on top of your total spent. Even those of us who do most of the wrenching will certainly donate all of our labor to the next caretaker.

If colors matter, it would be useful to post your preferences.

Hi C911,
I'm curious what this means?
"(center console confirms aswell as the bin can confirm that it's a 427 car)".
Regards,
Alan

I was curious about that too. I just assumed 'bin' was meant to be 'vin' and that he was incorrect in thinking the vin confirms anything in 69 which it doesn't other than being a coupe or convert.

Also said it cranks right up. Didn't say it started & ran.

I'm guessing he might be referring to the label on the console which can be ordered from any Corvette parts supplier.

I have a 69 427 390 4Speed convertible survivor. All original and numbers matching. Never restored. Interior is in good condition with normal wear and faded carpets. Paint has some crazing. Car is Lemans blue with blue interior. Leather seats. White soft top. I have the tank sticker and original hub caps.

Car just turned 60K miles. Here are pictures: https://www.corvetteforum.com/g/album/3573235

That's a nice car. I remember seeing that one for sale over the summer at carsonline, it was located in Ohio. I like this one.

Thanks but I bought this car 2 years ago from a private collector here in Atlanta. Any interest in buying it from me?

Two weeks ago I would have been. I've been looking for a blue 427 vert for about 2 years.

I just bought a 69 427 blue vert w/blue interior on Dec 23. Got it from Corvette Mike. It's still on his website. It's the side pipe "barn find". Everything on the car is original except the water pump, carb and tires. Wasn't cheap but didnt care.

Your car looks just like the car in the ad. That car was born sometime right after the strike in 69 like in June if I remember.

Anyway your car looks great. Love Lemans blue. Like that you have leather. Pretty rare option in 69.

Best of luck. Hope the OP considers it. Hope his wife likes blue....

Thanks. I looked at the "barn find" on Corvette Mikes. Very cool find! I am in no hurry to sell and only just recently started to consider selling.. This is the first post on it. I have not done an official "for sale" post. I am asking around privately first.

The OP is evidently too busy to waste his time...either by introducing himself to the forum...or explaining what he is looking for and most importantly, what the budget is. Just another fishing expedition.

Just seems like it's a good way to waste other people's time by getting them to post information, pictures, and links to cars for sale that he probably isn't even the slightest bit interested in because his wife doesn't like the color.
