Default The Begining of The Building of the Beast

Today I dropped off the 87 Block compliments of Mr Bogus. My guy is sending it out and then once it all checks out he will begin the build process. 383 Strocker coming up. This guy is located in San Pedro and he builds some of the sickest motors. I have my fingers crossed that mine will be just as sick. Any way had to get of my A$$, yesterday driving down the road my oil pressure went to 0. Checked the oil and BAM not a drop in her. I have been burning oil for the past few months, but I think this time she is done. Motor still runs, but I do not want to take any chances, so By this time next week motor should almost be ready to go in.

He's a fast engine builder! Good luck with it. Can your tranny handle the "POWW-POWWWW-POWER" of this new engine???? I guess the collective "we" will find out, eh?

Post pics of the nervous, first start up of engine at the rebuilder BEFORE you take off to try ( ) and make it home.

j/k. You'll make it home all right.

Ya know I never really even considered the Tranny? What do you all think? 4+3 3.07 rear danna 44???? Curious to here your thoughts.

Yeah he is a motor freak, I know most people promise things, but I think he just might pull it off. I am in no way hurrying him, as I will be away for a week any way.

From what I've read, the D44 is the stronger of the two, so that shouldn't be a problem. And as long as everything's a-ok with the 4+3, it should hang together just fine. Sounds like you're ok.

383's are

Only recommendation I could have - never use the OD except in 4th on the highway. Otherwise it will not live long.

Hope the engine turns out - How about some details.

I can't wait to see the final product. I'm in the process of a 383 myself and would love to see how it turns out!

Zero PSI??? no oil??? that's a leak!!!

coolio!

I can't wait to hear/see/ride/drive this monster!!!

The 4+3 should be ok, but don't expect it to last forever. Think TKO 5spd when the time comes.

However, the D44 will rock... They are killer stout.

Yeah I think he is pushing his luck with that time frame. But you never know. This is what he does for a living so It just might be possible

Honestly guys I am an idiot when it comes to the mechanical end of cars. If I were a doctor I would be the boob doctor. When it comes to cars I am a master at making them look good.

Any way I am not sure which clutch and flywheel, I was going to leave.that up to him or perhaps take suggestions. ??????

Thanks

Yeah Andy. In fact I was right around the corner from you house when the gauge went all the way down. I just coasted home.

I think that when the time comes I will go with the Six Speed tranny that I see on one of the websites.

You will be the first to see the bad boy in person. Hey you still considering my black chrome ZR1's
