I probably could have searched and found a low end C5 for what I will have in it, but when done my car will for all intense purposes, be a new car. These kit has a horrible fit.

Don't do it.

People!...

The OP is just referring to the Front Bumper Cover, Not the entire C5 body conversion!

Actually, for all intents and purposes, your car will LOOK like a new car.
Underneath the surface, it's still an old car.
But, good on ya' for your efforts.

IMHO, if you don't like the looks of the C4 front end, there are aftermarket front ends that look better on the C4 than a C5 piece does.

Yes, just the Front Bumper Cover. Love the C-4's performance, don't want a C5. Just talking frontal esthetics here, despite offending the purists. Urethane cover to fit C-4s are available. Here's my attempt to compare what it would look like (lousy photo and printer):

Wonder if the sharper lines of the C-4 vs. C-5 would cause a mismatch in the look

Aftermarket Front urethane cover only. Figure it's less than $1K for the cover, lights, paint, and I'll install.

Good luck with the paint and body work for that price. Does that include all the pop rivets and screws to hold it all together like the bad import kids use because thats what's its going to look like for that price

Why so, Negative?...

For a long time Senior CF member, you sure don't act like one.

To kiwi1... I'm sorry for all the negative posts for your simple question. Your opinion is all that really matters in the end!

Thanks, GKK. I just wanted to see one that was done to ascertain whether it looks as good as I hope it does. Just the front cover alone. Urethane cover costs US$319.

We have a tsunami waarning here, but expected to be minor, here on my boat.

Good luck, I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a 'minor' tsunami when on a boat.

I don't know what a C5 cover would look like. As you stated before, there might be a bit of a clash between the sharp angular C4 and the rounded edges of the C5. In the pic that PLRX put up of the ACP front end (yellow C5) if something like that were available for a C4, that might be cool. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose. Remember it's your car, your money, and what you like that counts. Enjoy

IMO Mixing the design cues from two different generations is like trying to mix oil and water...But it's your car. Have fun with it.

I was leaving a parking garage the other day and passed one of these. I had to stop, park and get out and go look at it, I wasnt aware of what it was, but I knew it began life at least as a C4. Up close and personal, it didnt really look that bad but I preferred the look of my 96 over it. Definite attention getter tho... I didnt know they made a kit for this.
