Hey, I ordered the center console leather cushion that is supposed to install by wrapping over the center console lid. However, I know for a fact that it won't just slip on the center console without removing the cover from the center console lid. Has anyone installed this and could tell me how it's supposed to go on? I don't want to remove the center console cushioning and have it not be the way to install it.

In case you're wondering, it's part number 42488 on Ecklers.

Yeah, you've got to remove the cover from the center console.
Make sure that you look to see how the latch & spring are assembled. The cover is in an open state when you remove the top, so keep your finger on the assembly so it just doesn't fall apart before you can see how you're supposed to put it back together again. This is what happened to me. I put the latch assembly back together again and it works OK but I'd be amazed if I put it back the same way it came out.

Other than that, it was a pretty easy install. The double faced tape held the cushion in place very well while in the re-assembly stage.

I think it looks great and it "feels" good to rest your arm on.
