Help Headlight Adjust motor or Stripped gear
Help My drivers side Headlight makes a Stripped gear sound. It looks like a small jar sized reservoir with a cap on top of it but I put my finger on the top and it started spinning and took some skin with it. I was told it is the head light adjuster. Does this adjust the motor in it or does it adjust the beam? If it is the adjuster how do I adjust it?
Thank You in advance experts.

You either need to replace the bushings or the gear itself in the motor, there is no adjustment possible. The parts are cheap, but you do need to have some patience and mechanical background to DIY.

It helps to put the year of your car in the post. It makes a difference in our advice. Looked at your profile and you have a 91. So more than likely it is the bushings in the gear. With as old as the car is, I would suggest you buy the nylon gear and bushings. It is not too difficult of a job to change these out.
Here is a youtube video that will show you how....
