Default ABS pump cover

In the 1990-1991 Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide on page 58 paragraph 5 it mention a vinyl covered flexible pad, in the rear storage compartment behind the drive seat under the plastic tray, that covers the ABS system.

Does anyone have such a item and if so could you post a picture of what this pad looks like? I've searched everywhere and can't even come up with a part number.

Thanks

Ken

I think I know what you're talking about. I'll take a look when I get home and post a picture if no one else has.

This part? Sorry for the crude lighting. The storage area cover is currently out of the car and I have the foam piece available.

Looks like it to me. Not much of a cover is it. The book describes it as approximately 12"x14" X 1" inch thick. Doesn't look to hard to duplicate. I really appreciate you taking the time and posting these pics. I searched for days trying to find information. I'm going to bookmark this page for the future.

Thanks again

Ken

No problem! It may have been 1" thick when the car was new 20+ years ago

I'm building a custom rear interior, so won't be reusing the foam pad. If you want it for a point of reference, it's your for the cost of shipping!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That would me great! Would $10 cover shipping and handling? Let me know your PayPal account and I'll send you the money.

Thank and Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Ken

That is a incorrect mat for a 90-91 car. The correct one gets pushed down into the rear cavity and the plastic tray goes over it.

This is what is should look like.

Yes that one look more like what's already on the side walls. Thanks for the pics chumpvetted and thanks Lonnie for the refund. I have gotten so much help information from this forum Over the past year it is truly the best. I posted on both the NCRS forum and FB page and got no replies. The funny thing is I couldn't find any listing for this piece in any GM parts book or service manual.

Thanks to both of you and Happy Thanksgiving.

The callout for the part is the rear compartment section. It is listed as a non service item. You only hope is to scour eBay or call the corvette salvage yards. Most were probably ripped out at some point in the service history and never replaced.

Mine doesn't look that nice. Black plastic chips falling off; it's all dried out...
