There is no "lifespan" for a MC, they fail mainly because of contaminated fluid allowing moisture into the system.

Found no recommendation in the owner's manual when looking for this. I know, a noob thing to do lol

Good maintenance, they last longer than the car will.

That means replacing your brake fluid regularly. What interval? That depends on your environment. You need a good seal in the top of your reservoir(s), and where you have to store your car due to cold weather and/or have wet, humid conditions, it will need to be done more often than our friends in Arizona or Alice Springs, Australia! Certainly if your fluid is getting dark, it's time for a change. It's nice to have those semi-transparent reservoirs, but don't wait for that!

If you really want to go crazy there are test strips that measure the amount of moisture in the fluid, I just flush out the MC every other oil change or so.

I'm big on flushing the entire brake system every 2 years.
If you run track events flush the system prior to the event.
Do Not use silicon fluid. The newer silicone fluids are not compatible with the seals.
